The Importance of Smiling
We’ve all heard the expression, “turn that frown upside down” when we are feeling and looking blue. Now, some serious research is giving us all the more reason to wear a smile on our face.

Indeed, some psychologists and scientific studies reveal compelling evidence that smiling causes people to feel happy. According to a study published in Psychological Review, requiring people to smile, no matter how they really feel at first, results in increased positive feelings; frowning conversely decreases positive feelings.

So, try it for yourself. The next time you feel yourself slipping into negativity, make a conscious effort to smile. More than likely, this simple action will make you feel better, and thus, have a better outlook on the day, as well as life in general. It really doesn’t get any easier—now that’s something to smile about!

Before you put on a frown, make absolutely sure there are no smiles available.”
