How to Save Your Boss
Have you ever seen a superior heading straight for a brick wall with no idea that they are about to crash? It's definitely an agonizing and maddening thing to watch. You want to help him/her, but you know that it can be dangerous to tell the boss that he/she is about to make a major mistake.

The good news is that there are a few things you can do to soften the blow and make sure you don't ruin your career. Take note of the tips below:

Don't blast the boss. Make sure you've got your head and heart in the right place. Know that you are doing what you are doing for the good of everyone. Keep your cool and remain tactful at all times.

Be prepared. Going in to offer criticism is probably not a good idea, especially if you don't have information to back up what you're saying, or an action plan in mind.

Take time to listen. If you approach your boss, chances are that he/she will want to vent. So, keep an open mind and listen to your boss's perspective.

Remember, you always need to be respectful and mindful of your superiors. However, this doesn't mean that you shouldn't or can't offer advice. Take note of the tips above and use them when you see your boss headed for troubled waters.
